i am...
an artist
i use paint, words, and sound. i bring love and compassion in to my work to create pieces, projects and installations that are emotionally honest and, hopefully, inspirational.
a facilitator
i work with youth (and sometimes adults) to create transformational experiences. i use outdoor activities like rock climbing and hiking, as well as working on creative projects to do this.
an outdoor guide
from small day hikes and canoe trips to adventures in rock climbing and mountaineering, i love getting people outside. my skills are constantly growing along with my love for the outdoors!

what people are saying...
“b is one of the most impressive individuals I have worked with…they are very committed to creating the best experience possible for the youth.”
Wendy Rading
“Thank you for a wonderful adventure. Lily loved camp and raved about all of you and all she was learning every night. There wasn’t a single morning when she wasn’t excited about heading back.”
Nicole and Brian
“Referencing the communal magic that fuels so-called wishing trees … while coyly rejigging our current addiction to text messaging, Wrauley has created a communications hub – one that clearly kindles, judging by the masses of tags attached to the tree, visitors’ primal story-sharing impulses.”

artist statement...
in all the work that i do i aspire for one thing, to motivate others to live better lives. i hope that audiences leave my work being stimulated and influenced in a positive way. i believe that art can transcend barriers and prejudices and i hope that my work challenges audiences to think differently by exposing them to unexpected realizations.
all my work stems from a desire to bring people into moments of emotional honesty and connectedness. my practice involves disassociating from my own conscious criticisms to reveal sub-conscious emotional truths. by doing so i hope to expose an honesty within myself that also motivates others. i hope that audiences leave my work being stimulated and influenced in a positive way.
each one of my paintings is a representation of some part of me and acts as both a representation for accepting ones own emotions and personal revelation. my process involves listening to one particular song on repeat. the music acts as a hypnotic element, allowing me to dissociate and connect more deeply with my emotions. most pieces are painted on found wood, which represents connections to nature and my heritage as the child of a woodworker.
i get excited when aspects of my work challenge preconceived notions of community, identity, and mental health. i find these ideas exciting because i am constantly struggling with the challenge of self-discovery and expression amidst societal expectations around gender-identity, sexual orientation, and emotional awareness.
my current work is focused on honesty, telling exceptionally personal stories or trying to connect people by creating a sense of community. i struggle with mental confusion and depression as a result of a brain tumor in my cerebellum that was removed in 1992. i try to infuse the positive messages i want to hear into my work as a way to create world i want to live in. i hope to challenge social conventions so audiences may truly discover their own potential.
